administrative Assistant | Communications Specialist

We're looking for a warm, welcoming person to receive and assist visitors to the church office and provide administrative services, all of which contribute to the effective administration of First Presbyterian Church, thereby enhancing our ministry.  

This person:

  • Provides administrative services for staff, members of the congregation, and visitors.
  • Maintains a hospitable presence for those calling the church on phone or in person.
  • Assists in assembling necessary information, providing administrative support, and preparing bulletins for all church services.
  • Assists in organizing, editing, and publishing the church newsletter and preparing it for distribution.
  • Ensures that the church’s web page is maintained in a useful, up-to-date, accurate and attractive manner.
  • Assists with the maintenance of the church membership database.
  • Serves as contact person for media inquiries and releases public information regarding church events provided and/or approved by appropriate staff and committee members.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Church Administrator. 


Employee must have high school diploma or equivalent.

Employee must have and maintain valid Texas state driver’s license.

Employee must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Employee must have working knowledge of office and web computer programs.

Director of Family Ministries

We are seeking a full-time Director of Family Ministries to join our dynamic staff team in leading the loyal and enthusiastic volunteer base of our warm and welcoming congregation. The ideal candidate for this position has strong organizational skills, a passion for relational ministry, stellar volunteer recruitment skills, some theological background, and an ability to relate well to children, youth, and adults.
