benevolences

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed.

Benevolence giving is a key part of our outreach ministry. In 2017, we distributed benevolences in support of:

  • our own mission projects - Children's Corner Preschool, HOPES Kitchen, and YES Center
  • Presbyterian organizations, locally and abroad - Schreiner University, Mo-Ranch, John Knox Ranch, Pan-American School, Presbyterian Border Ministry, Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Presbyterian Children's Home and Services, and Mission Presbytery.
  • the national and international mission of Presbyterian Church (USA)
  • a variety of organizations and agencies in our area - Christian Assistance Ministry (CAM), Habitat for Humanity, K-Star, Christian Women's Job Corps, Families in Literacy, and CASA just to name a few.

Alternative Gift Market

What is an Alternative Gift Market?

It is a project of the mission & benevolence committee of FPC Missions and organizations represented at the market are not supported by the FPC budget. Donations go directly to the organization represented at the market. It allows you to express your compassion through gifts that provide:

Food for the hungry

Clean water and solar power to those who need it

Micro loans to help stabilize a future for families

Hope for those suffering from the effects of war and human trafficking

A chance to go to school

Medical help

Disaster Relief

Plus, beautiful hand-made gifts from artisans all over the world.

How it works!

Shoppers have fun matching gifts to the passions of family and friends.

Gift cards are available that include information describing who will be benefiting the gift.
